The IOS XRv 9000 6.0.1 release is now available for VIRL users.
PLEASE READ THE NOTES BELOW CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THE IMAGE.
IOS XRv 9000 (aka Sunstone) runs the 64-bit IOS XR operating system as used on the NCS-6xxx platform. Users running VIRL 1.0.0 or later are able to download and install the image via the VIRL Software page, as normal.
NOTE: Use on VIRL releases prior to 1.0.0 is not supported. You MUST be using VM Maestro Dev-363 or later.
Users are also able to download the image via the VIRL Software page on UWM or can download the image from the My Account page (https://virl.mediuscorp.com/my-account/) and then selecting the 'Download VIRL' link.
Download the image to your laptop and then upload the image into VIRL via the 'Node Resources/Images' tab in UWM.
The VM requires the following compute resources in order to run:
- 4 vCPUs
- 16Gb RAM
- 50Gb free disk
You must ensure that you have sufficient compute resources available in order for your simulation to run.
Once added in to your system, you must update VM Maestro to add the IOS XRv 9000 to the list of available nodes:
- Launch VM Maestro
- Select 'File / Preferences / Node Subtypes
- Press 'Fetch From Server'
- Press 'Apply'
The IOS XRv 9000 instance can be configured by AutoNetkit.
